Fred Lamego was born in Santiago, Chile, in 1972, and lives and works in Brasília. He has worked as a photographer for over 15 years, with a practice that investigates modern architecture and urban spaces through an aesthetic and conceptual lens — shaped by his academic background in International Relations and Economics.

His approach favors concrete structures, shadows, textures, and the obsolescence of urban matter, steering away from obvious or monumental readings. The artist's interest lies in capturing the historical in-between, visual density, and architectural fragility through subtle, formal compositions — resulting in images that invite the viewer into an experience of contemplation, deviation, and silence amid the contemporary flow.
